VBORNET Gap Analysis Vector Habitat Models Available to Partners On Request

VBORNet, the European network for arthropod vector surveillance for human public health, is providing ad hoc technical support to ECDC on vector-borne diseases in Europe (WP2). In Period 4 (2012), one of the activities was to develop and implement spatial analysis methods to enhance the currently available vector distribution maps produced by the established VBORNet methodology (WP1.5 – Develop strategy for vector distribution gap analysis).

The following download provides an overview of the VBORNet Gap Analysis implemented by Environmental Research Group Oxford Limited (ERGO) for presentation to experts for evaluation in January 2013, and subsequent delivery of these Version 1 Gap Analysis results to the VBORNet data archives.

We are pleased to be able to provide these documents to the project partners for appraisal.  The models themselves can be requested from the EDENext DMT (edenextdata@gmail.com) if the data is assesed to be of use to their research.

Species include:

Ixodes ricinus, Aedes vexans, Culex modestus, Phlebotomus perniciosus and Phlebotomus tobbi, Anopheleles plumbeus, Phlebotumus ariasi, Phlebotumus papatasi, Dermacentor reticulatus, Hyalomma marginatum
