Introduction
Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale dell’Abruzzo e del Molise “G. Caporale” in its role of OIE Collaborating Center for Veterinary Training, Epidemiology, Food Safety and Animal Welfare is organising the International Conference on “Risk Analysis as a tool for the control of Animal Diseases and Zoonoses in the Mediterranean Basin”, under the auspices of World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) and the Italian Ministry of Health. The conference will be held in Teramo on November, 5-7, 2013 at the International Centre for Veterinary Training and Information “F. Gramenzi” (CIFIV).
Beneficiaries and participation
The conference is mainly dedicated to personnel from Veterinary Services of Mediterranean countries and scientists involved in risk assessment studies. Keynote speakers from OIE and other International Organizations will participate. Registration to the Conference can be made online.
Poster & oral presentation
Authors interested in submitting an abstract for oral or poster presentation are invited to select a specific topic (only one per abstract) among the following : Risk assessments methodologies applied to the control of non foodborne zoonoses; Surveillance systems and data collection for risk assessments in animal health; Risk assessment methodologies in animal welfare; Risk communication in animal health: experiences and methodologies.
